So, I'm trying to make a diy project at least once a week. This week, I was really inspired by Natalie Portman's shoulder pads by Keko Hainswheeler in V Magazine and this Poison Ivy necklace from lulus.com. Here is what I came up with...
I cut an old jean jacket and believe it or not, I actually made the shoulder pads out of an old bra. I cut the cups out and hand sewed the zippers.

I was late night fashion browsing and I googled 'cut jean vest'. I came across this piece on google images and I am so surprised to read that you made it! Even more surprised at the process and materials!! Old jean jacket + zipper + bra = GENIUS. Well only a genius could pull it off, haha. And that's you! Wonderful blog here!
