"The nightmare series reflects a dialogue between dream demons and the state of reality. These monsters possess features that have become symbols of terror that I find in existence and that haunt the subconscious state, however I have chosen to work on cardboard to express the impermanence of these dreams and illusions. As a psychological study, this series of paintings is a portrait of fear that explores aspects of the human psyche. Through this work, I have opened a literal Pandora's Box, allowing these demons to escape."
